The typical theory is to promote the development of related service systems while improving the efficiency of products: investigate the necessary functions of products for users and extend the service life of products; The design of the sustainable development of the whole product system is more important than the design of the product itself. The key point of sustainable product design lies in the analysis of external factors that affect the product life cycle

It is mainly reflected in two aspects: the life span of products and the selection of materials. Due to people's past lifestyle, a large number of product varieties are out of date, and the speed of frequent replacement of products has a negative impact on environmental protection. If we can extend the product life limit set for the coil spring based on the knowledge of sample parameters, we can reduce the unnecessary waste of resources. Research shows that consumers' psychological factors and materials play an important role in promoting the obsolescence of existing products. from some perspectives, "green design" cannot be regarded as a performance of style. Successful "green design" products come from designers' high awareness of environmental issues, and use the experience, knowledge and creative crystallization of designers and relevant organizations in the process of design and development. At present, there are roughly the following design themes and development trends:

1) natural materials are used, which are embodied and applied in furniture products, building materials and fabrics in the form of "unprocessed"

2) the simple style of nostalgia and the careful integration of "high-tech" factors make users feel that the product is amiable and warm

4) emphasize the economy of using materials, abandon useless functions and pure decorative styles, create vivid shapes, and return to classic simplicity
